Derek calls them “Water Tables”, but we would describe then as sculptures with a practical application. The base of it is an animal sculpture, usually made out of wood or metal, which is seamlessly incorporated into a flat glass surface. The complete piece creates an illusion of a submerged animal peeking through the water. A simple idea, taken to the next level thanks to years of practice.
